SU Experience Officer and SU Committee Elections 2019

This election is to elect Experience Officers who help to run the Students' Union. This election is also to make up our sports committee, ethical and environmental committee and to elect our NUS delegates.

Sports Network Lead

To effectively represent students who are part of a sports team and to sit on relevant SU Committees. Get involved in campaigns on behalf of the Students’ Union and actively support positive change within the University. Run one or more campaign that is related to the group of students you are representing, with the support from the Full-Time Officers.

Sports Committee Member (8 places)

The SU Sports Committee is for 8 students to be elected onto to meet and help improve engagement levels with sports clubs and bring in any new ideas you have. The role will be to support existing sports clubs and work will the Sports Experience Officer, Full-Time Sports Officer and SU staff.

Societies Network Lead

To effectively represent students who are part of a society and to sit on relevant SU Committees. Get involved in campaigns on behalf of the Students’ Union and actively support positive change within the University. Run one or more campaign that is related to the group of students you are representing, with the support from the Full-Time Officers.

Pittville Campus Experience Officer

To effectively represent students who live at Pittville and sit on relevant SU Committees. Get involved in campaigns on behalf of the Students’ Union and actively support positive change within the University. Run one or more campaign that is related to Pittville students, with the support from the Full-Time Officers.

Park Campus Experience Officer

To effectively represent students who study at Park and sit on relevant SU Committees. Get involved in campaigns on behalf of the Students’ Union and actively support positive change within the University. Run one or more campaign that is related to Park students, with the support from the Full-Time Officers.

NUS Conference Delegate (3 places)

We are looking to elect 3 students to attend the NUS National Conference on Tue 31st Mar - Thu 2nd Apr 2020, in Liverpool. NUS National Conference is the sovereign policy-making body of NUS and brings together nearly a thousand delegates from students' unions across the country to discuss, debate and vote on motions and elect the political leadership of the organisation for the year ahead. The SU pays for travel and accomodation at the conference.

Mature Students' Network Lead

To effectively represent mature students and sit on relevant SU Committees. Get involved in campaigns on behalf of the Students’ Union and actively support positive change within the University. Run one or more campaign that is related to the group of students you are representing, with the support from the Full-Time Officers.

LGBTQ+ Network Lead

To effectively represent LGBTQ+ students and sit on relevant SU Committees. Get involved in campaigns on behalf of the Students’ Union and actively support positive change within the University. Run one or more campaign that is related to the group of students you are representing, with the support from the Full-Time Officers.

Sustainability Network Lead

To effectively represent ethical and environmental issues and sit on relevant SU Committees. Get involved in campaigns on behalf of the Students’ Union and actively support positive change within the University. Run one or more campaign that is related to ethical and environmental issues and help raise awareness, with the support from the Full-Time Officers.

Disabled Students Network Lead
