#NEVEROK April Update
As part of our #NEVEROK campaign we’ve been working on creating a safe environment for students and staff, on and off campus. We have a zero tolerance to violent behaviour, harassment and abuse of others.
Since our March update, a lot of our time has been spent looking at bystander and consent training, communicating our work with students through meetings and interviews, and working closely with external charities and organisations to help address this issue and make support that’s available more accessible.
Training
- Asha and the Student Voice Team met with Hertfordshire Students’ Union to discuss their Active Bystander training package and how they rolled it out to students.
Working with external charities
- Asha also met with the Victim Support Charity to discuss how the Union can raise the visibility of their services more widely in partnership with the university
Raising the visibility of our campaign to students
- Asha was interviewed by a current Journalism student on Womens+ safety and what the SU and University have done in this area.'
