On the 7th of December 2019 some of our members took part in a 3hr endurance race for charity which was orgainesd by Absolutely Karting in partnership with the Absolutely Together charity.
Absolutely Together want to put smiles on the faces of families with children and young adults with additional needs. They have been able to provide 1,000 free leisure activities for local families at several different venues across the country
These activities include:

- And Many Many More
Absolutely Together are offering children and young adults with additional needs a unique and exciting opportunity. With their partenship with Absolutely Karting, they have been able to raise money for brand new dual seat karts which enables children and young adults with additional needs to expereince driving for themselves.
The members that took part in this endurance race had a great time racing and raising money for this amazing charity.
Throughout the month of November 2020, the club created and completed the Silverstone Challenge. This challenge consisted of walking/running the entire race distance of an F1 race of Silverstone, 306.198km/190.26 miles, all to raise funds for the clubs BUKC effort.
In two weeks we reached our goal distance so we aimed to complete another race distance in another two weeks, the overall distance that the club managed to walk/run was 594.97km/351.29miles, 184.6% of our original target. Over the four weeks, we managed to raise £151 which will all go towards our effort in BUKC and we want to thank everyone that donated during the fundraiser.
12 hr Stream
During the Silverstone Challenge, we also put on a 12 hr stream that people could come and watch and donate to the total for the Silverstone Challenge. The stream consisting of a variaty of games from Fall guys to F1, it was from 11am to 11pm with members joining throughout the day.
Some of our members were brave enough to perform some donation goals throughout the stream, from eating a lemon to one of our members, Jacob, shaving his head. We want to thank everyone that watched throughout the 12hrs and donated aswell.
The BUKC Challenge
Our second fundraiser of the year sees us take part in our very own BUKC Challenge. Just like many things this year, the British Universities Karting Championship (BUKC) was sadly cancelled so we decided to create the BUKC Challenge, this challenge saw the club walk the total distance between all the tracks that we have been able to race at during our time in BUKC. This was a total distance of 440.2 miles/708.42 km.
This fundraiser's aim was to raise as much money as we could for two charities which are close to some of our member's hearts. The Brain Tumour Charity, who are the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally, and Macmillan, who offer emotional, physical and financial support from the moment someone is diagnosed with Cancer and help support their families aswell.
Over the months of March and April 2020 members recorded their walks and runs and added them to our overall total. In the end we reached our total distance and raised £230 to share equally between the two charities. We want to thank everyone that donated towards our total, it really means a lot to the charities and members of the club.
