K-pop Society

Welcome to the University of Gloucestershire K-pop Society 2021/2022!

We are dedicated to all things K-pop! We have a range of interests within the society, with fans of girl groups, boy groups, and solo artists. We also have fans of K-dramas and movies within the community as well, and many more! This gives you an open space to make friends with people who have similar interests to you.

We host an activity every Tuesday! We organise a variety of sessions, both in person and online including dance sessions, korean language sessions, crafts sessions and socials. We are also planning a number of trips this year.

Dance Sessions

We host dance sessions where as a group we learn dances from K-pop videos! We regularly vote on which dances the members of the society would like to learn.

Korean Language Sessions

We host Korean language sessions where we aim to learn Korean together. We are using the online syllabus How to Study Korean!

Craft Sessions

We have sessions planned to make a number of K-pop themed crafts such as BT21 desk cutouts, keyrings, Christmas clay decorations, scrapbooks, and bracelets.

Socials

We have some exciting new ideas for socials this year! We plan to host regular socials at Ginger and Garlic, a Korean restaurant in Cheltenham, which also has a karaoke bar! We would also like to have some relaxed movie nights and some lively nights out!

Trips

We are planning a number of trips this year! To places such as Kstars in Manchester, a K-pop merchandise store, Sokollab in London, a K-beauty store, and a number of different Korean restaurants.
