Hey everyone! My name is Asha and I am your Welfare and Diversity Officer at the SU for 21-22. Starting university is a really excititng time, but we know that with all these changes, there can be a lot of nerves, anxiety or loneliness. This is why in November of 2021, I ran a 'Don't Drop Out, Drop In' campaign, to encourage everyone to discuss how they were feeling and give them the tools and resources to help ease anxiety.

There were drop in sessions throughout the week, from different student services such as the Money Advice Team and the Disability and Dyslexia Team, where you could have a session with them to ask any questions or get some advice, as well as Leaf Sessions where students came together to connect and leave their thoughts and feelings about how they were finding unviersity hanging from a tree on a leaf.

You’ll find a Helpzone on every campus. They’re the first place to visit or contact if you need support with any aspect of student life. Please call book an appointment before you visit to help us maintain social distancing during Covid19 restrictions.
