Welcome to the University of Gloucestershire Badminton SU page!!

We are a sports team based at The Oxstalls Sports Arena, Gloucester. Our team is co-ed with both our Women's and Men's team competing within the BUCS league. Annually we travel to The National BUCS Badminton competition held in Sheffield, we are also a competing team during the Varsity period against the Woucester University Badminton Team. 

Our competitive teams train multiple times a week, with game days on Wednesdays. On Fridays we all come together for a session where our recreational players come and join us for a more relaxed session to end the week. We have Strength and Conditioning training once a week to ensure our BUCS players are in the best condition to aid their performance during the games. 

Off court we like to have fun and bond as a team on Wednesday evening whist we have our weekly socials at Yates Cheltenham. Occasionally we have joint socials with other sports club as we believe its important to engage with other sports clubs and societies at UOG. Each Semester we host multiple alcohol free socials and activities so we can ensure that everyone is able to enjoy the social aspect of being part of a sports club.
