Gloucestershire University women's rugby are an inclusive team and welcome all girls who would like to try out rugby, no matter what their ability. We like to develop our players in a safe and positive environment that encourages fun, friendship, fairness and respect. Playing for the team and to have great fun doing so is the most important thing in the clubs ethos. It's not about winning at all costs, but playing exciting, attacking rugby and believing our players should be given the freedom to express themselves, to play without fear of making mistakes, and to be encouraged to make their own decisions and discover the joy of the sport.
We are fortunate to have a range of players who represent England through to club level. A mixed ability of Elite England players, England U20's, Premiership and club level players constantly drives on the players to be as good as the player next to them. The girls are always coaching each other and wanting the best out of each other, so as a team they can compete at a higher standard. Looking to join for a social only membership (this can be found in the products link tab) total cost for this is £15
We organise regular social gatherings after a match to unwind and continue to develop the team bond. A great laugh usually involving fancy dress, a few beers and a sing song... theres no better place to be!
