What a night!

Our very first gig of this academic year, Frogspawn 2026 was a complete success. It took place September 17th in the evening at the Frog and Fiddle, as part of the larger FrogFest over the weekend. With over 120 attendees that night, the crowd gave the energy, and the musicians gave it back.

The first year band, comprised of new Popular Music and Sound and Music Production students, performed amazingly with a set full of hits. Their first ever performance together was unbelievably impressive and gave the best start for the night.

Freya Delgarno crafted a mesmerising set of original songs, with funny stage patter in between. An acoustic act, Freya drew the audience in with unique storytelling and great vocals.

The Cycle, a second year Popular Music band, brought the crowd their best. You can never go wrong with the crowd-pleasing Chelsea Dagger, and The Cycle always go right with their spot on sound.

Our headliner for this year, Charlie Plews, captured the essence of the university experience with his set. Having graduated last year in Popular Music, he brought the vibes for closing out an electric night full of music.

We want to thank everyone who came, and we hope to see you all at our next gig!
