Welcome to the Music Society! Whether you’re new or have joined us before, we look forward to seeing you this coming year. We’ve got some great events coming up for you to enjoy, so read about them here.
Frogspawn 2026
This year we are once again collaborating with the Frog and Fiddle to present Frogspawn! This is our warm-up event on Thursday 17th September ahead of the weekend-long FrogFest. Our lineup is full of student and graduate performers, Freya Delgarno, The Cycle, and headlining is Charlie Plews. As well as this, we will have a showcase of new first year talent, so please come along to be the first to see some excellent fresh faces! Doors are at 6:30 and it is free entry, bring your friends for a night of great music.
Open Mic Night
We are hosting our first Open Mic night of the year on Friday 25th September at 7pm. If you want to perform, or just watch, feel free to come along and enjoy the evening. It is taking place in The Living Room on Park Campus (the SU Bar inside the refectory).
Socials
Socials return once again, with our first social back being held at The Frog and Fiddle Barn (where Frogspawn takes place!) on Wednesday 23rd September at 7:30pm. The dress up theme for this week is dress as an animal, but as always this is not mandatory! We will have games and other activities taking place, so come along to meet new people.
Our second September social is a pub crawl on Wednesday 30th September, starting at The Frog and Fiddle at 7:30pm. This week's dress up theme is lifeguards! Live updates on location will be posted in the Music Society community chat, so if you can’t make it until later on, you can catch up. Welcome Fayre and Other SU Events
We will be at Welcome Fayre at Park Campus on Wednesday 16th to answer any questions and meet you all! As well as this, on Thursday 17th we will be at Pride in the Park hosted by LGBTQIA+ Society.
