Hello!! Welcome to the University of Gloucestershire's Student Nurse Society. Our committee includes Mental Health Nurses and Adult Nurses, we welcome all student nurses, including Learning Disibilities. As well as any UOG students that are interested in the nursing and healthcare subject.

As well as hosting the best socials (obviously) we will be hosting educational talks with guest speakers such as experienced nurses from all fields, doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists and service users. We also hope to plan days out and events such as muesums, live post mortems, if any members have more ideas they are welcome to put them forward!

We also want to be a family for student nurses, nursing is a challenging course and sometimes it will take a toll on us. So we want to create a safe space for student nurses to vent, relax and feel as though they can be themselves. Cinema dates, meals out and cocktail dates are a must in our family!

Our socials will be unforgettable too, wednesday are our student social nights. We can begin early for those that want to have an easy, more chilled night. We will always hit the Glos Vegas strip too!! Our committee can't resist a boogie in Butler's and topping off the night in Atik (the photobooth is a ritual.) We absolutely love dressing up and theme nights, we try to come up with the most original themes, for example Eastender's character's night!! Best costume alway's wins a prize!

Our Committee

President - Tillie Fletcher (she/her) Hey! I'm Tillie, second Mental Health Nurse, I'm really excited to be the Student Nurse Society president! I did a previous degree at York University, but obviously didn't want to grow up and now studying nursing at UOG! I've lived in Gloucestershire all my life and I'm pretty sure Regal, Butler's and Atik know me by my first name lol. It's cliche, but I am really passionate about mental health and really want to make a difference in healthcare.

Secretary - Sophie Welland (she/her)

Treasuer - Lydia Robinson (she/her) Hi everyone, my name is Lydia. I am a second year adult nursing student and the treasurer of the nursing society. I am originally from Wiltshire but have recently moved to Gloucester. I grew up on a farm so if you ever need a tractor hit me up. I am really excited about sharing this new adventure with you all and can't wait for all the events and socials we will be planning over the next 3 years.

Socials Secretary - Nia Carter (she/her)
