For the past three years, Noah Earey has been one of the most active and influential student leaders at the University, dedicating countless hours to improving the student experience through representation, advocacy, and action.

Currently serving as the LGBTQIA+ Welfare Rep, President of the LGBTQIA+ Society, Course Representative for Drama and Performance, and Chair of Student Council, Noah embodies what it means to be a student leader. Through each of these roles, he has consistently championed student voices and worked to ensure students are heard at every level of the University.

Noah is a perfect example of how students can not just use but lead their Students' Union to create meaningful change. Whether campaigning for more inclusive language on University monitoring forms or raising practical solutions to improve inclusive practices across campus, he has never been afraid to challenge the status quo and advocate for a better student experience.

What makes Noah's contribution particularly remarkable is that he goes beyond identifying problems. He takes action to solve them. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the University, Noah has played a key role in delivering LGBTQIA+ Allyship and Transgender Awareness training for staff. This work has helped build understanding of the unique challenges LGBTQIA+ students can face in higher education and has supported efforts to create a more inclusive environment for everyone.

Student leaders like Noah are the backbone of our Students' Union. They ensure that we remain an organisation run by students, for students. Whether he is speaking with course leaders, Students' Union officers, Deans, or Heads of School, Noah consistently represents student interests and advocates for positive change.

His dedication has not gone unnoticed. At the Students' Union Awards, Noah was recognised for his outstanding contribution to student representation, winning Course Representative of the Year for Arts, Culture and the Environment, as well as the Society Community Excellence Award. These achievements reflect not only his commitment to the student community but also the meaningful impact he has had across the University.

There is only one final thing left to say, thank you, Noah.

Thank you for everything you have done, and continue to do, for students. Thank you not only for the changes you have helped make, but for showing others what is possible when students use their voices to make a difference.
