Hello and welcome to the University of Gloucestershire's official DJ Society!

About our society:

At the UoG DJ Society, our aim is to create a family for all who love music, nights out, and DJing. Whether you are a student who has always had an interest in becoming a DJ, Producer, Singer, MC, or just someone who wants to party with a group of people who are really into their music, then we are the right society for you. Our goal is to spearhead Cheltenham's nightlife with artists who play excellent music from a variety of genres such as Drum & Bass, Bassline, House, Techno, Dubstep, Grime, and RnB to name a few. No matter what year, campus, or course you're welcome to join the UoG DJ Society family!

Being the founders of the Cheltenham events brand 'Staggered' and winners of the 2020 Gnomies 'Society Event Of The Year', your society committee is firmly rooted in the music industry and local scene with an established network of connections which you can benefit from. Also, they are musicians, DJ's or students studying music themselves which means they have vast amounts of experience and knowledge of the industry, so rest assured knowing that they will do their very best to make your experience in the society worthwhile.

Our Memberships

1. Standard Membership (For Artist's DJ's & MC's or people who want to learn. No experience required)

Our artist membership fee is £10 for the whole year!

Whats Included:

Weekly DJ sessions (including coaching for anyone new to DJing) on Park Campus, and Pirate Studios, using industry-standard DJ decks and equipment that you would expect to be using when performing in venues.
Regular socials.
The opportunity to help the society committee manage events across the semester (which looks great on your CV by the way).
The opportunity to perform at the DJ societies events and live stream shows.
Development meetings to discuss things such as how to get started as an artist using social media and successful ways to market ourselves as a professional within the modern-day music industry.

2. Social Membership

As a society, we offer a range of socials, events, and other activities that are for everyone not just DJs which is why we will soon be implementing a 'Social Membership' for those of you who aren't a musician/DJ and want to join for the social aspects of it rather than the artist mentorship.

As well as this we are always on the hunt for other creatives for example videographers, photographers, graphic designers, marketing enthusiasts, music technicians, and audiovisual designers to help us out across the year. So if you are someone who would like to become a part of the society to help us out and be involved with those activities, then social membership is something for you.
