I’m running to continue fighting for a fair academic experience and stronger student voice. I will push for fair, not AI feedback from lecturers, protect credit discounting, tackle rising accommodation costs, and ensure accessibility across courses. I will also work with course reps locally and nationally to make sure student voices shape university decisions. As proved, when you raise it, I fight it.
Last year I promised to listen to you. That is what I have been doing, and if re-elected I will continue listening and acting on what YOU want.
I will continue fighting for fairness
- Accessibility should not be optional; I will keep holding course teams accountable to ensure slides and materials are uploaded on time.
- When courses run into problems, students should not be the ones paying the price. I will continue pushing for fair solutions, like extensions when issues impact learning.
I will protect the quality of your academic experience
- The fight over assessment fairness is not over. I helped secure limits on assessment bunching so students are not overwhelmed with multiple deadlines in the same week, and I will make sure those rules are enforced.
- I will also keep working to strengthen policies like Reasonable Adjustment Plans so students who need support receive it clearly and consistently.
Another key priority is fair, not AI feedback
- Students deserve meaningful responses from lecturers, not AI-generated comments. I will continue challenging the introduction of AI feedback tools and make sure any use of AI in teaching is transparent, responsible, and designed to support students rather than replace staff.
I will keep representing students in national debates about education
- Issues like the Teaching Excellence Framework and credit discounting directly affect how your degree is assessed.
- I will work with course reps, locally and nationally to ensure these systems are fair and do not disadvantage students from ANY background.
Student accommodation must improve
- Rent continues to rise while quality often stays the same. I will push for stronger accountability, so you get what you pay for and campaign for rent freezes where possible.
- I will also advocate for unused (and isolated) space at Pittville to be converted into family housing, so student parents have better options and support.
I want to strengthen the connection between campus, and community.
- Many of you have said you want FCH to stay, and I agree.
- I will push for the university to invest more in the communities around our campuses by supporting local businesses rather than large chains.
- I will also expand GlosBound further, so more courses connect students with opportunities in the city.
I’ve listened and will continue to listen and act. See Pink #VoteBianca
