As the festive season approaches and students head home for a well-earned break, it's time to look back on an incredible first semester for sport at the University of Gloucestershire. From exciting BUCS fixtures to inspiring charity challenges, this term has truly showcased the talent, passion, and community spirit that makes TeamGlos so special.
BUCS Wednesdays
From an action packed opening with17 fixtures across home and away, to our biggest home day yet, the semester has been full of standout moments, including:
-
Women's Netball 3s securing their first win after a tough few seasons
-
Men's Football 3s delivering back-to-back victories
-
Women's Volleyball and Men's Football 5s celebrating their first wins of the season
And many more...
Charity & Community
This semester wasn't just about competition - it was about making a difference. Players from the Men's Rugby Union squad took on the Three Peaks Challenge for Movember, while Men's Rugby League spent a morning at Sandfields Care Home, sharing stories and building connections across generations. Clubs also got creative with fundraising, from events such as Gladiators' Take Me Out night and Men's Rugby Union's Tash Bash.
