This week was a busy one! I kicked off Monday with packing foodbank parcels and finalising bits and bobs for the official launch. In the evening, I supported one of the UoGSU’s Biggest fundraisers, So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD). It was a really fun night with so many of our amazing sports clubs getting involved. The rest of the week consisted of Student Council, Honorary awards committee and planning for Varsity and SU awards.

This week has been a busy one. Despite battling a bit of a tummy ache, I met with the Office of Independent Adjudicators to better understand how they handle student appeals and complaints. I represented academic interests at AAC, contributing to discussions on AI and the potential use of an AI feedback tool. We also held Student Council, where we explored proposals such as extending Board of Trustees terms to four years and heard valuable student perspectives on this. And, in a moment of true dedication to student engagement, I even did a cartwheel for the students.

This week has been one of the most significant milestones of my journey, something I will carry in the depths of my heart with pride and dignity. To celebrate International Mother Language Day, I created a video with students from different countries, each speaking the same sentence in their own mother tongue. The video was published on the official Facebook page of the Bangladesh High Commission and on the Glos app. For this contribution to multilingualism, I was invited to the UK Parliament, where I met ambassadors and shared my thoughts on multilingual education. I also launched a poetry competition, Unmask the Creativity, celebrating every language and identity.
