Freya Rowley - Activities and Opportunities Officer

This week I’ve been involved in some really exciting work! I sat on the interview panel for our new Sports Development Coordinator, helping to shape the future of student sport. I also presented my priority campaign to the full SU staff team, which was a great opportunity to share the vision and get everyone on board. Alongside that, I’ve been developing a passion project focused on better supporting our amazing student leaders across sports clubs and societies and how they can use their skills to support their future.

Bianca Holland - Education and Community Officer

This week I took part in a validation standing panel which is a space where the university goes over new courses and modifications to current courses, I ensured that students were taken into account in ever step! As a group we met with our local MPs chief of staff and shared our campaign ideas. As a team we looked through joint campaigns we want to continue and expand on this year! On the topic of my priority campaign, I have engaged with local businesses in Gloucester to gauge how they can help out our students – lots to come!

Iffat Jahan - Welfare and Diversity Officer

A warm update from me—this week has been filled with meaningful work and heartfelt commitments. I’m still passionately driving my individual campaign forward, while also deeply involved in our joint campaign to bring collective change. I felt truly honoured to be part of the interview panels for the SU Student Advisor and the External Trustee for Finance—hearing people’s stories and visions was inspiring. At the same time, I’ve been trying to address timetabling concerns, knowing how much this impacts many of you. It’s been a challenging yet fulfilling week, and I’m grateful to be walking this journey with you all.
