#NeverOkay

About the Campaign

In October 2021, we launched #NEVEROK to promote the message that everyone has the right to study, live, work and enjoy life in a safe and supportive environment. Harassment, assault and abuse are never OK.

Our Zero Tolerance Policy

  • Sexual assault and harassment
  • Relationships/Domestic abuse
  • Harassment and bullying
  • Honour crimes, FGM, forced marriages
  • Discrimination (transphobia, racism, homophobia)

What this means

Reports are taken seriously, followed up quickly and signposted to specialist support. If you are unsure whether something counts, you can still talk to us confidentially.

Our Pledges

Lobby the university for better victim support
Run safety training for sports clubs & societies
Provide self-defence classes for Women+ students
Make anti-spiking kits freely available
Work with local authorities to tackle these issues

Be an Active Bystander

A: Assess for Safety

Check you can help safely. Your safety comes first.

B: Be in a Group

It’s safer to intervene as a group or report to someone who can act.

C: Care for the Victim

Ask the person if they are OK and offer support.
