Film and TV Society

OUR SOCIETY:

We are a new society focussed on the enjoyment and experience of Film and TV. This society aims to bring together students who share a love for movies and LFTVDs. Whether you’re a dedicated movie-watcher, a casual binge-watcher, or just looking for a relaxed space to unwind, this society offers something for everyone. We host weekly screenings (every Friday), occasional interactive socials, we will have creative discussions where members can explore different genres and debate hot takes (e.g. Should Superheroes be regulated or free to act?, In 'The Hunger Games' were the Capitol Civillians victims or villains? Was Dumbledore a manipulator or a hero?) and we will have a space to chill & chat.

- Mystery screenings,

- Pub-quizzes,

- Hot debate nights (centred around movies/tv shows.)

And our annual end-of-year Fake-Oscars (will be hosted in May.)

Where are we located? Pittville Student Village, Laurie Lee Building, Phoenix Room.

When do we meet? Every Friday from 6:30pm (this may vary depending on the movies/tv shows we are watching) where doors will open, we will then proceed to start the movie at 7:00pm.

Memberships cost £5 per year  (This is to ensure we can provide the best Movies & Tv Shows, and to hopefully eventually rent-out a cinema room for a more cinematic feel.)
