The Business Development Unit here at University of Gloucestershire is looking for a student to take on the role of administrator for a part time contract.
Roles and responsibilities we would be looking for from the Business Development Administrator role:
1 To be the initial point of contact for all general enquiries and visitors to the Business Development Unit (BDU), providing a first class impression and standard of service, and liaising in a positive, customer-focused manner with a wide range of individuals at all levels.
2 General office administration and recording of information as directed by the line manager, including the maintenance of stationery supplies, visitors, refreshments, filing, post etc
3 To monitor the BDU email inboxes and process enquiries as appropriate
4 To provide administrative support to project staff in the delivery of Short Courses, Graduate Challenge and Knowledge Transfer Projects as required during periods of high activity.
5 To regularly update the BDU Contact Manager database as required with information relating to University partners and customers.
6 To process administration including expense claims for BDU team, requests for annual leave and the absence report.
7 To support marketing and events activity including booking of rooms, catering and liaising with event clients and delegates, and to provide assistance as required at business-facing events.
8 To work with members of the BDU team, as required, on supplementary projects as they arise, or during periods of high activity, as directed by the line manager.
The hours will be between 18-20 per week and will be managed as a temporary contract via jobshop temps. The successful candidate will register with JST and be employed by the Students' Union for the duration of the contract.
Please note access to a car would be helpful as you will be based at the APrk Campus but you may be required to work from our Gloucester Docks office occasionally and some evening and weekend work may be required to support events.
