On a bitterly cold January weekend, UoG Tennis hosted the Russ Simmons Cup in aid of the Rainbow Trust Children's Charity. Past and present members took to the courts raising a huge £1134.30 along the way for our chosen charity.

A long weekend of tennis showed off the many talents we have in the club. Outstanding performances were seen with marathon matches from the likes of  CC John Collier-Keywood vs. VC Allan Fray, as well as the display of incredible shots, where a shout out has to go to Ben Dexters' shot in the mixed doubles who had everyone on their feet in awe of what can only be described as pure genius!!

A massive thank you goes out to all who donated, came to support in the chilly temperatures, to everyone who took part and to Oxstalls Tennis Centre for providing us with the courts free for the whole weekend. A special thank you goes to Jason Poole who organised and ran the whole event to a standard better than that of Wimbledon!
