Welcome to the University of Gloucestershire's Performing Arts Society! We are a pre-established society, however, we have recently undergone a bit of a change over in management! For this reason, we consider ourselves a relatively new society! We are run by a collection of Performing Arts students (on DaPP, PFA, and Dance respectively), however, we are open to any students that wish to join, whether you're a seasoned dancer or a Paramedic student who wants to bust out their acting chops!

A bit about our Society!

  • We will be performing as much as possible, whether that's Musicals, a Showcase of the people within the society, or silly pantomimes for each other. Regardless of what we do, there will be plenty of performance oppurtunities!
  • We are going to be running both workshops and classes in all aspects of the core Performing areas, whether that's Acting, Dancing, or Singing. This will help you as a member (and us as a committee) expand on skills and talents, as well as, meet people with similar interests and hobbies! This being said you are not required to sing, dance, or act if you do not want to. You only need to go as far as you are comfortable with, and if you wish to be pushed out of your comfort zone, we will do that for you, but that is ALL DOWN TO YOU!
  • Social Nights! Whether you drink or not, you will always be welcome at our Social Nights. The committee is made up of both drinkers and non-drinkers, so there is no pressure for you to drink to be at the Socials. This is important to us as we don't want any of our members feeling like they are going to be judged on whether they drink or don't drink. Social Nights are a great way for you to dress up in a daft outfit and hang out with friends, as well as offering you the chance to make new ones, outside of your course and year group.
  • We, as a committee, are extremely dedicated to making sure EVERYONE in our Society, regardless of whether they are committee or member, enjoys their time with us, and we will do everything in our power to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe and has fun with each other. We have decided as a committee that we have a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, harassment, or bullying to any degree. We are dedicated to both teaching and socializing in a community that is accepting of all, regardless of Age, Disability, Race, Religion, Belief, Gender, Sexual Orientation, or any other aspects of your life.

So what now? Well, it's simple! Sign up! We'd love to have you, so please, if you want to perform, learn, or just socialize with like-minded people... THIS IS THE SOCIETY FOR YOU!

You can learn more about us as a society and the committee on our Instagram Page, which is @uogpfasociety

We hope to see you soon!
