Hello! My name is Jess, and I am running to be your Education Officer. I’m currently doing my Masters in Criminology, I believe I can engage with current and future students to help improve Education related matters.

My goals:

1. Improve the access to Information; This is in relation to academic literature but also for help with assignments. I want this to be a goal due to the confusion I have seen from fellow students during my time at the university, especially for students new to the university and Mature students. Through improving the access to information, I hope to lessen the stress of assignment writing and enhance the experience of students.
2. Deadline bunching; The current education officer also aimed to prevent the bunching of deadlines. I hope to continue her efforts as the problem is still persisting.
3. Further the support for assignment writing; Through coordination with the student help zone I aim to improve upon the support already available for students in regards to essay writing and referencing. This is to specifically support new students, mature students, and individuals who need extra support.

Alongside these main goals, I also aim to improve the academic experience of students by listening to the student body and responding to issues that are brought forward. I want to help improve the experience of students at the university.
