An ear for your voice

As course rep, I would like to provide a point of contact for anyone who is either concerned about a particular part of the course or has a suggestion about how the course could be improved. Alongside representing others' opinions, I will personally highlight lecturers encouraging students to have an awareness of special education needs and diversity (including religion and LGBTQ+) throughout the course. Being diagnosed with ADHD myself I feel it is important to have teachers who are aware of how it could impact a learner. For instance, it may be useful to encourage lecturers to challenge us on how we could adapt our lessons to accommodate other types of learners. A special needs child would benefit from this because of the support and understanding you can show them, increasing their self-esteem.

I believe that I am a suitable candidate because I good time management and will be able to keep a record of any suggestions or concerns about the course ready for the upcoming meetings where I can present those on your behalf.

Thank you for reading.
