Are you looking to make some noise about something you care about or generate some support for an idea?

Welcome to Change It this tool enables you to submit ideas to Student Council to be voted and acted upon.

Submit any idea and wait to see how many votes it gets.

How does it work?

Step 1: Think It

Think about what this issue is and how you want it solved, follow this structure if you're stuck!

Facts: What is the issue you’re trying to address? What do we already know about this issue?

Impacts: How does this issue affect students, and in what way? Is it negative?

Reacts: What would you like the Students’ Union to do to address the issue? How do we need to take it forward?

Step 2: Change it:

Use Change It to input your idea, check to see if the idea has already been passed as we might already be working on it! If you are studying on a professional course, before submitting an idea, please ensure that you are considering your professional guidance/ agreement with the University.

Step 3: Vote it:

Get your cohort and peers to vote on your issue! It must get at least 25 up-votes, and a total of 25 up-votes more than down-votes within 3 months of posting in order to be added to the SU Student Council agenda, otherwise it will be rejected*

Can't see your idea?
If you submitted your idea over three months ago and hasn't reached 25, it will be removed. But this does mean you can re-submit and let your cohort know to gather more up-votes!

1:26pm on 21 Apr 22 Hi, thank you for your feedback. There is a catering review today, and Charlotte, your Activities and Opportunities Officer, sits in this space. She is planning to bring this up in the meeting. We will report back to you afterwards. Thanks, Asha
