Candidate for the position of MSc Psychology L7 - Academic Rep

KIRSTY JOHN

"Having recently returned to study from a teaching role, I'm committed to helping to improve outcomes for students across the board.  I'm currently Chair of Governors at a local primary school and have also recently been co-opted to join a second governing body to advocate for appropriate outcomes for primary pupils and staff. It would be a pleasure to do the same for my peers on the MSc Psychology. Both of these roles, alongside my work as an advisory teacher have stood me in good stead when communicating sensitively and discreetly with staff, students, senior leaders and volunteers.  I'm mindful of cultural difference and diversity issues when representing groups and believe that I can bring a fresh, enthusiastic, flexible and creative approach to the role; making feedback fun whilst also challenging convention and supporting the university to continuously improve provision.  I enjoy connecting with people and am keen to allow other's views to shape the way in which we work."
